Sandvik Coromant is the largest product area within Sandvik Tooling with 8,000 employees worldwide. Sandvik Coromant is represented in 60 countries by sales personnel, specialists and a well developed distributor network.Our production factory with its 1,800 employees is one of the world largest production plants of its kind.

The solutions within Sandvik Coromant cover all aspects of turning, milling, drilling and holding systems. Sandvik Coromant has over 20 well-equipped Productivity Centers around the world where customers can get hands-on solutions to increasing productivity. Additionally, we have build several Application Centers which are R&D centres focused on specific industry segments. Here, we work together with our customers to develop solutions for different applications. What we learn in these projects benefits all our customers and drives the entire industry forward. We also carry out training at machine manufacturing companies and at our customers’ own production facilities.

Our research and development is built on four cornerstones: finding new cutting tool materials, developing state of the art product development methods and tools, new machining methods and new machining concepts. New cutting tool materials improve component quality; new machining methods mean higher efficiency and flexibility; and new machining concepts result in time reduction and cost savings on the bottom line. For us, R&D is as much about what happens on the shop floor as what happens in the lab. Our commitment to R&D is a guarantee that our customers always have the absolute latest technology.
